Plot Synopsis, Review
A young woman awakens in a mental hospital ward, and has no memory of why she is there. She soon realises that something is wrong and starts being terrorized by a ghost from the wards past.
John Carpenterfinally makes a return to the genre that made him an icon. The Ward has some creepy scenes, but is pretty bland majority of the time. The make-up effects were pretty good, and there was some really good scenes of character socialisation, but the ending really pissed me off. The movie is just another average asylum flick that really doesn't stay with you.
The John Carpenter flick was really doesn't stackup in his terrific resume, and is generally a forgettable return. The acting was good. Amber Heard is always great in her roles, and this is no exception.
Overall The Ward is another average horror flick that has some nice scenes, but the ending really dissapoints. My rating is 2.5/5.
