Plot Synopsis, Review
Morticia has just given birth to a new son, and they hire a nanny unbeknown to them that she is a money-hungry gold-digging serial killer.
Great. Gotta love how every now and then a family film comes along that has an equal amount of adult humopur to it. The dark and gothic central theme of the film. It's great in the sense that it keeps you entertained through and through. Even without seeing the preceeding flick for this I didn't need to know what had happened.
The plot is a sequel to the remake of the 50's TV Series. The characters were all well developed, and I especially love the fact that this weirdo family are living in the modern world. It's definately a weird film, but it's weird in a good way because it's never predictable and always fun.
The acting was good. Anjelica Huston is amazing as Morticia. It's like she was born to play the role. Raul Julia was hilarious as Gomez. Christina Ricci in her child years is funny to see, but she was great as Wednesday, and Joan Cusack provided her role of the gold-digger to the extreme comical effect.
Overall "The Addams Family Values" is a hilarious fun and entertaining flick that has enough adult oriented jokes for parents to enjoy too. My rating is 3.5/5.
