Plot Synopsis, Review
A group of friends are on an annual road trip through the outback when a road train cuts them off and crashes their car. They then make there way to the truck which has been deserted, and steal it. Shortly after, events take a turn for the worse when the group start turning against eachother.
WTF?. Let me just start by saying this is a complete waste of time. What kind of film doesn't explain the motive for the killings, or why the truck somehow makes people evil, and to add that it runs on blood not gas. It makes me ahsamed to be Australian because of this, it's just terrible. It reels you in at the beginning, but falls flat at about half time and can never quite recoup what it had at the start. A plus is that everything was unexpected.
The plot is simple and familiar. A group of friends (with a problem that's personal) and a truck that tries to kill them. Remind you of Jeepers Creepers, or maybe another flick called Road Kill from back in 2001. The plot holes are just too in-your-face to enjoy the film because when it finally ends you are feeling like you just wasted your time.
The acting was irratable. Bob Morely and Xavier Samuel were equally annoying as the best mates. Georgina Haig was also quite annoying after a while with her complaining. Sophie Lowe was also quite annoying... so the acting is just annoying :P.
Overall "Road Train aka Road Kill" is a flick that promises at the beginning but feels like it gets hit by a truck itself, and fades into a whole lot of plot holes and annoying characters. My rating is 2/5.
