Plot Synopsis, Review
The reality programmers at DangerTainment have a selected a group of thrill-seeking teenagers to spend one fun-filled night inside the childhood home of serial killer Michael Myers. But the planned live broadcast turns deadyl when their evening of excitement becomes a night of horror as Michael himself decides to crash the party. Solid. Unlike it's preceeder "Halloween H20", this entry (The 4th to actually follow along with the Laurie Strode storyline) is actually watchable. While the cliche's are all there, it was good to see a resolution on how Michael could possibly be alive because without one it would just make it entirely unrealistic. I take this to be the 4th film in the franchise, the others are just pointless spin-offs. While the modernised technology sequel was inevitable, I really don't like how the opening scene was never again referenced to. The ending was predictable and cliche and really pissed me off. The plot was another extention in the Halloween franchise, and this one is superior to alot of the sequel's that had nothing to do with anything. Flaws I found was that the police would never just shrug off some call about a killer, and the fact that Michael has been living under the house where coincidentally sewer pipes are run down there. That was too coincidental for comfort. The acting was mediocre. "Busta "Rhymes" and "Bianca Kajlich" were annoying to say the least, "Tyra Banks" was also slightly annoying as the programmer. "Jamie Lee Curtis" returns to play the character that made her famous, "Laurie Strode", and she pulls that role off once again mastering every emotion and pulling the audience in. Overall "Halloween Resurrection" lacks in reality but is still better than other entries in the franchise. My rating is 2.5/5.
